Ordering and Associated Tests
Communicate the need for CRYO to the SVMC Laboratory Blood Bank. Lab will order.
A standard adult dose is one pooled unit (equal to 5 single units).
Patient's blood group and type (ABORH) must be determined, if not on file.
Availabitlity and Turn-around Guidelines
One dose routinely stocked and available for issue within 60 minutes. Must be thawed first.
CRYO expires 6 hours after thawing.
