Collection Instructions

Fill to top of vacutainer.

Store at room temperature if testing will occur with 4 hours.

Refrigerate if testing will occur between 4 and 12 hours.

Separate plasma and freeze if testing will be done after 12 hours.

Patient plasma should be tested within 4 hours if stored in an unopened tube at 2-4°C or at 18-24°C, within two weeks at -20°C and within six months if stored at -70°C. A frost-free freezer should not be used
