Product Action(s)

Improves hemostasis in cases of thrombocytopenia or abnormal platelet function.

Ordering and Associated Tests

Communicate the need for platelets to the SVMC Blood Bank. Lab will order.

A standard adult dose is 1 pheresis pack.

Patient's blood group and type (ABORH) must be determined, if not on file.
