Ordering and Associated Tests

  • Communicate the need for PLTP to the SVMC Laboratory Blood Bank.
    • Lab will order.
  • A standard adult dose is one pooled unit (equal to 5 single units).
  • Patient's blood group and type (ABORH) must be determined, if not on file.
