Order as RBCL, plus quantity needed. Crossmatch (XM) and Type and Screen (TS) will automatically be added to the requisition. See "Crossmatch" procedure for specimen details.
Availabitlity and Turn-around Guidelines
Routinely stocked and available for issue within 2 hours if testing demonstrates compatibility. RBCL(s) are reserved 3 days after day of testing (10 days for pre-ops who have not been pregnant or transfused within the last 3 months).
