Collection Instructions

Collection Instructions:

  1. Warm speculum with water and insert into vagina Do Not use lubricants.(usual lubricants are lethal to gonococci).

  2. Collect specimen from the mucosa high in the vaginal canal with a single swab culturette.

  3. Place swab in the transport tube and crush ampule of transport media to moisten swab.
